This AI isn't just smart, it’s supportive, intuitive, and designed to enhance your wellbeing journey. Whether you're checking in after a tough day, exploring a new skill, or setting goals for the week, Psyche AI is ready to guide you.

We believe mental health support should be personalised, accessible, and responsive to your unique needs, which is why we developed and built the Psyche AI Companion.

How Does Psyche AI Work?

Psyche AI isn’t just another chatbot; it’s your personal mental health companion, designed to support you in ways that feel natural and meaningful. With the Psyche Scale, you’ll gain a deeper, more holistic understanding of your mental well-being, while interactive, science-backed tools help you build skills that truly make a difference in your daily life.

You’ll be able to set and track SMART goals that align with your values and pace, making progress feel both achievable and personal. Journaling becomes easier and more intentional with AI-assisted reflection, helping you uncover patterns and insights you might have missed on your own. With personalised prompts and guidance, Psyche AI is a steady companion, always there when you need it.

Unlock New Psychological Tools - Explore Empathy, Conflict Resolution & Learned Optimism

As part of our ongoing mission to equip you with real-life psychological tools, we’re thrilled to introduce three transformative new skills inside the Psyche: Mental Health app. These skills are designed not just to support your personal growth, but to empower you in how you relate to others, manage life’s challenges, and maintain a healthy mindset in an increasingly complex world.

Have you ever felt stuck, wanting to connect more deeply with loved ones, handle tough conversations with less stress, or break free from cycles of negative thinking? You’re not alone,  it’s a feeling many of us can relate to. That’s why we’re excited to introduce three new skills designed to meet you right where you are.

  1. With Empathy, you’ll learn how to truly recognise and validate emotions, helping you build stronger trust and closer relationships.

  2. Through Conflict Resolution, you’ll gain practical tools to approach disagreements calmly and constructively, instead of letting tension take over.

  3. And with Learned Optimism, you’ll discover how to reframe negative thoughts, building hope, motivation, and emotional resilience for the future.

Each of these skills includes interactive activities, reflective questions, and tools for practical application. Designed for real life, built for lasting change.

Open the app, explore the Skills Library, and start your journey with Empathy, Conflict Resolution, or Learned Optimism today.

Libraries Leading People

Our founder, Dr Daniel Page, had the honour of attending the “Libraries Leading People” seminar hosted by the City of Cape Town this week. The event celebrated the evolving role of libraries, not just as information hubs, but as powerful community anchors supporting emotional, intellectual, and cultural well-being.

Dr Page reflected on the seminar as an important dialogue on access, education, and the public impact of mental health resources, and the vital role libraries play in shaping a more resilient society.

A special thank you goes to Christelle Lubbe, Head of Professional Services and Programmes at City of Cape Town Library Services, for the kind invitation and warm hospitality.

Dr Daniel Page and Christelle Lubbe

The seminar featured meaningful contributions from several notable speakers, including Francine Higham; Ricardo Mackenzie, Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport; the Public Library Seminar team; the Libraries Leading People panellists and moderator, Dr Flippie van der Walt (PhD); Carrie Mashek; and Ninnie Steyn, Director of Library and Information Services, who delivered a moving vote of thanks.

Psyche Innovations is proud of its ongoing collaboration with the City of Cape Town libraries, where the Psyche: Mental Health app is freely accessible via the libraries’ online e-resources. This partnership underscores a shared commitment to making mental health support more accessible and engaging for the public.

Health Tech Tips: Choosing the Right Mental Health App

Choosing a mental health app can feel overwhelming - there are so many options! Here’s a friendly guide to help you find an app that’s safe, trustworthy, and actually helpful.

1. Keep Your Privacy Safe

Your mental health is personal. Make sure the app protects your data and keeps your information private. Look for clear privacy policies and check if the app follows any official rules about data protection.

2. Trust Science, Not Hype

Some apps make big promises but aren’t based on real science. Choose apps that mention working with mental health experts or use proven methods like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). If they mention being “evidence-based,” that’s a good sign!

3. Easy to Use Every Day

If an app is confusing or hard to use, you probably won’t stick with it. Pick an app that’s simple to navigate and fits into your daily routine. A clean design and helpful reminders can make a big difference.

4. Keeps You Motivated

A great app keeps you coming back. Look for features like daily check-ins, mood tracking, or encouraging messages. Some even use games or rewards to help you stay on track.

5. Shows Real Progress

You want to see how you’re doing! Good apps let you track your mood, set goals, and see your improvements over time. This helps you understand what’s working for you.

6. Backed by Real Experts

Check if the app was created with help from psychologists, therapists, or other experts. This means you can trust the advice and exercises it gives you.

Quick Recap:

  • Look for strong privacy.

  • Choose apps based on real science.

  • Make sure it’s easy and fun to use.

  • Find features that help you stick with it.

  • Track your progress.

  • Trust apps made by professionals.

Remember, the best app is one you’ll actually use and that makes you feel supported. Take your time, try a few out, and pick the one that feels right for you!

Tuesday Posts: Reflective Support Every Week

Every Tuesday, our founder, Dr Daniel Page, shares a short, thoughtful post on topics that matter, grief, gratitude, progress, burnout, balance, and everything in between. These aren’t polished soundbites or quick-fix hacks. They’re raw, reflective insights designed to open space for conversation, connection, and care.

Our goal with these reflections is simple: to remind our community that mental health is not about perfection or performance, it’s about process. Whether you're navigating deep loss or celebrating a quiet win, there's space for your experience. We share tools to help you track your progress, prompts to reflect on gratitude, and reminders that healing isn’t linear, but it is possible.

What These Posts Represent

Every week, these posts are our way of showing up for you, not with polished perfection, but with honesty and heart. They’re here to remind you that vulnerability is normal, that growth takes reflection, and that consistency matters even when life feels overwhelming. Most importantly, they’re here to remind you that you don’t have to go through it alone.

Our Ongoing Commitment

We know that there’s no quick fix or one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to mental health, but what we can promise is this: a space where you’ll find support, encouragement and small, practical ways to keep moving forward, one step at a time, together.

Whether it’s recognising the silent weight of grief, practising gratitude when it’s hard, or reminding you that “there is no secret ingredient” to wellness, these reflections are small anchors of support in a busy world.

You can watch the latest Tuesday post on our LinkedIn page. If you find it helpful, share it with a friend. Let us know what speaks to you in these weekly reflections, and if there’s a topic you want explored, we're listening. At Psyche, our mission isn’t just about mental health education. It’s about building a compassionate, consistent support system, together.

Webinars: Catch Up and Look Ahead

September Webinar

From Awareness to Action: Suicide and Support Systems

Presented by Antoinette Maluka and Dr Daniel Page, this webinar explored how we can better respond to suicide in South African communities through awareness, education, and effective linkage to services. This session explored the crucial role of early intervention and awareness in preventing suicide, examined why mental health education remains limited in many communities, and discussed what effective community engagement looks like in practice. It also unpacked the challenges of connecting individuals to appropriate support services and how these can be addressed.

August Webinars

Beyond the Hour: Extending Care Between Sessions

Presented by Claire van Dyk and Daniel Thomas Page, PhD, join the discussion highlighting how mental health support doesn’t end when the session does. In this practitioner-focused webinar, Claire van Dyk and Dr Daniel Page explored how Psyche: Mental Health can complement therapy by providing structured, evidence-based support for both clients and clinicians between sessions. Together, Claire and Daniel explored how care can extend beyond the therapy hour, without compromising human connection or clinical integrity, while building a community of evidence-based, client-centred practitioners committed to shared growth.

Health Tech Tools: Fad or Future for Practitioners?

Presented by Dr. Kieran McLeod and Dr. Daniel Page, the webinar "Health Tech Tools: Fad or Future for Practitioners?" explored how technology can support and empower mental health professionals without replacing them. It covered how tools like Heidi and Psyche can reduce burnout by handling administrative tasks, boost client engagement between sessions, and save practitioners time through seamless integration. The discussion addressed how to overcome skepticism by identifying red flags like poor security or a lack of clinical evidence, and emphasized the critical importance of data privacy and ethics. Ultimately, the goal was to show how health tech can create a more efficient, ethical, and empowered modern practice, benefiting both practitioners and their clients.

FOR PRACTITIONERS

Health Tech for Practitioners: Empowering, Not Replacing, the Human Touch

Mental health professionals are no strangers to increasing caseloads and ever-growing demands. In this environment, it’s only natural to wonder: Is technology a threat or an ally? Is it simply another passing trend, or could it become a force for good in our practices?

Let’s set the record straight: health tech isn’t here to take your place - it’s here to amplify your impact. When used thoughtfully, it can genuinely transform your work in powerful, ethical, and deeply client-centred ways.

Turning Pain Points into Practical Solutions

Technology shines brightest when it addresses real-world challenges. With the right tools, you can:

  • Keep Clients Engaged and Motivated - Support clients between sessions with resources and reminders to help them stay on track.

  • Personalised, Evidence-Based Tools at Your Fingertips - Access interventions tailored to each client’s unique needs, grounded in research and best practice.

  • Track Meaningful Progress, Clearly and Easily - Monitor changes over time using insights that go beyond simply asking, “How are you feeling today?”

  • Work Smarter, Not Harder - Streamline documentation and administrative tasks, allowing you to focus on what matters most, your clients.

Meet Psyche: Your Digital Practice Partner

Here’s how Psyche supports you and your clients:

  • Psychoeducation and Skills Training Between Sessions - Clients can access learning modules and exercises in their own time, saving you from having to repeat foundational concepts and enabling you to focus on deeper therapeutic work.

  • Measuring Success: See What’s Working - Track outcomes and interventions in real time to understand what resonates with each client.

  • Progress Clients Can See and Feel - Show clients tangible evidence of their growth, building motivation and hope.

  • Skills That Stick for Life - Reinforce techniques and coping strategies so clients can confidently use them long after therapy ends.

  • Arrive Prepared for Every Session - Review client reflections, practice logs, or mood ratings in advance to tailor each session for maximum impact.

The Human Connection Remains Central

But is health tech the answer - or just another HR trend?

The Cost of Doing Nothing
