We are here to keep you informed, empowered, and connected every step of the way.

Psyche Celebrates 2 Years!

Two years ago, Psyche Innovations began with a mission: to make mental health tools accessible, evidence-based, and engaging. What started as an idea driven by lived experience and professional insight has since grown into a global platform supporting thousands of users across 85 countries.

How It Started

In June 2023, we launched our website and introduced the very first version of the Psyche: Mental Health app, featuring a holistic mental health assessment. From day one, our focus was clear: offer people practical, psychological tools they can use in everyday life.

Soon after, we expanded our offering with:

  • Psychological Skills to support optimal wellbeing in the real world.

  • An evolving Psycho Education Library

  • Goal Setting tools to bridge insight and action

  • Launched newsletters, webinars, and automated support systems to deepen our engagement

Growing with Purpose

As we developed our Psyche: Mental Health platform, we also grew our community.

  • We welcomed our first individual, business, and mental health practitioner customers, who integrated Psyche into their mental health strategies.

  • Delivered our first Workshops, combining digital tools with human-led  skill building

  • Rolled out TouchPoint Sessions to bring additional expertise and engagement to the psychological skills-building process.

  • Reached thousands of users in 85 countries

2025 and Beyond

Now, at the 24-month mark, we continue to evolve. This year we have:

  • Introduced AI-powered features to offer smarter, more responsive support

  • A Referral Feature to help individuals reach care when in need.

  • Launched our services that empower Mental Health Practitioners with tools and resources to solve their pressing needs.

  • Updated our website to reflect who we have become and where we are heading

What is Next?

Our story is still being written. We are committed to expanding our reach, deepening our tools, and helping people everywhere take control of their mental health one meaningful step at a time.

CEO in the Spotlight – Featured in Stellenbosch VISIO!

We are thrilled to announce that our CEO, Dr Daniel Page, was recently featured as Entrepreneur of the Month in the prestigious Stellenbosch VISIO magazine focused on leaders driving innovation in South Africa.

In the February 2025 issue, Dr Page shares his personal journey of loss, resilience, and purpose that led to the founding of Psyche Innovations. Driven by the need to make mental health care more accessible, proactive, and stigma-free. Daniel built Psyche from the ground up to serve users, practitioners, and organisations in over 85 countries.

In the article, Daniel speaks to:

  • The importance of digital tools in scaling access to care

  • Building technology that centres empathy and human connection

  • The critical role of partnerships and community in growth

Celebrating Innovation

Dr Page was featured alongside four other incredible innovators:

  • Tumelo Mokoena, founder of SafeGuard Stellies, building tech-enhanced safety tools for students and the community.

  • Prof Ranel Venter, CEO of Banzifeet, revolutionising school footwear design to support children's healthy foot development.

  • Desmond Mogodi and Lesedi Dikhoba, co-founders of iWashCars, reshaping mobile car care services with a focus on youth employment.

It’s an honour to be recognised alongside such inspiring South African changemakers who are leading the way in health, safety, and entrepreneurship.

SAMRC Stakeholder Meeting: Advancing Youth Mental Health

On 23 June 2025, our CEO, Dr Daniel Page, participated in a pivotal national conversation at the SAMRC Conference Centre in Cape Town. The event, “Co-development of a Mental Health Data Discovery Platform and Harmonisation of Mental Health Measures for Young People in South Africa”, brought together influential stakeholders from government, research, and civil society to shape the future of youth mental health services.

Dr Page contributed to the Panel Discussion: Voices from Our Community Representatives, alongside thought leaders from SADAG and the South African Federation for Mental Health. His focus: How digital innovation can bridge critical mental health gaps by empowering youths, practitioners, and organisations.

Here are some of the key themes Dr Page highlighted:

  • Scalable, Accessible Support: Digital platforms like Psyche make evidence-based mental health tools available anytime, anywhere, overcoming barriers like cost, geography, and stigma that often prevent youth from getting help.

  • Empowering Youth Through Agency and Skills: Interactive, culturally relevant tools help young people build core psychological skills (like emotion regulation, self-awareness, and goal-setting) in ways that are engaging, gamified, and accessible via mobile—fostering autonomy and early intervention.

  • Extending the Reach of Practitioners: Clinicians can assign app-based exercises between sessions, track progress through assessments, and deliver personalised support, enabling them to support more clients effectively and reduce dropout.

  • Supporting Organisations at Scale: Schools, NGOs, and health systems can offer high-quality, consistent mental health resources to hundreds or thousands of youth without needing large clinical teams, maximising impact while reducing resource strain.

  • Creating Data-Informed Ecosystems: Aggregated insights from digital tools help organisations understand emerging trends, risks, and strengths in the populations they serve, allowing for proactive, targeted mental health strategies.

  • Reducing Stigma and Normalising Care: When mental health support is embedded into everyday digital experiences, it becomes a normal, non-threatening part of life, especially for digital-native youth.

Let’s build a future where mental health support is within everyone’s reach. Whether you’re a practitioner, educator, or advocate, join us in scaling digital solutions that work. Explore our tools, refer a colleague, or partner with us to make a lasting impact.

FOR PRACTITIONERS

Solving Retention, Motivation & Engagement in Therapy

How Psyche: Mental Health empowers you to build stronger, more impactful therapeutic relationships.

Client engagement doesn't end when the session does, but keeping clients motivated between sessions can be tough. Drop-off rates, low adherence to strategies, and limited insights between appointments can compromise outcomes and your effectiveness.

Psyche: Mental Health changes that. Our platform acts as a seamless extension of your care, offering clients interactive psychological tools, guided goal-setting, and evidence-based activities that keep them engaged and progressing between appointments.

What you get:

  • Assign skills and track progress effortlessly

  • Updates on your clients’ wellness metrics during sessions

  • Access powerful resources to reinforce your sessions

  • Save time and improve outcomes with data-driven support

As a practitioner, you know how often sessions feel like a reset. Clients arrive motivated but lose momentum between appointments. Without structure or continuity, meaningful progress can stall.

Here’s how Psyche: Mental Health bridges that gap—simply and effectively.

Step 1: Access Your Practitioner Code When you join Psyche, you receive a unique access code for your clients to unlock premium app features at no cost to them.

Step 2: Introduce Psyche in Session During a session, your client shares their current challenges. You introduce the app and guide them to download it on their phone. Once installed, they enter your code—unlocking access instantly.

Step 3: Establish a Baseline Together Together, you walk through the Psyche Scale—a holistic mental health assessment that offers insights across eight core domains. This creates a shared, measurable starting point for care.

Step 4: Set Goals and Assign Skills Based on the results and your therapeutic focus, you identify key areas for growth. You assign skills or psychoeducational activities within the app, tailored to your client’s needs—whether it’s stress management, self-talk, sleep, or goal-setting.

Step 5: Strengthen Engagement Between Sessions Clients use the app between sessions to practise skills, reflect on progress, and track their well-being. When they return, they’re more engaged and better prepared. You gain insight into their experience—without needing extra admin or tech setup.

The outcome? More focused sessions, improved retention, and better client outcomes—while saving you time and extending your impact. Psyche: Mental Health is purpose-built to empower both practitioners and clients—bridging the gap between sessions and ensuring mental health support is always within reach.

For Practitioners: Streamlined, Smart, Supportive

Keep clients engaged and progressing between sessions, leading to better outcomes and increased continuity of care—ultimately growing your practice and impact.

A Wrap-Around Mental Health Solution

Our organisational offering brings together three key services that work in harmony to create a meaningful impact:

  • Touchpoint Sessions These expert-facilitated group sessions offer a structured space for participants to check in, share experiences, and deepen their understanding of key mental health topics. They strengthen community engagement and provide continuity between individual app use and team-based reflection.
